If You Ordered a Raw Brass Fixture
All raw brass will age/darken over time. If you wish to keep your fixture “like new” you can clean it periodically with Brasso. When installing your fixture,WE DO RECOMMEND WEARING GLOVES. The raw brass will tarnish if it comes in contact with the oils on your skin.
Installation Instructions
1.Sconce and Vanity
We recommend a licensed electrician install all electrical fixtures. TURN OFF ALL POWER AND REMOVE OLD FIXTURE.Using holes Aand Bpictured, screw the 2 - 1 1/2” screws halfway into the back of the provided round mounting plate. The ground screw and the thread of the two screws should be facing you. Next, attach mounting plate to electrical box with the 2 - 1” screws provided, ground screw should be facing you. Adjust mounting plate so the screws are horizontal or vertical to the floor, depending on how your light should face. Adjust the 2 - 1 1/2 screws so they extend slightly beyond canopy. Next, preferably with the help of someone to hold fixture, attach the black and white wires of fixture to the corresponding black and white wires in the electrical box. Also attach the ground wire to the ground screw. Now align canopy with the screws facing you and attach with the acorn nuts provided. Install with the provided bulbs and turn electricity on to test. If light does not turn on,Turn off all power and check to make sure tab in socket has not been pressed too far into the socket and not making contact with bulb.
We recommend a licensed electrician install all electrical fixtures. TURN OFF ALL POWER AND REMOVE OLD FIXTURE. First unroll wire from chandelier, then run wires through downrod and screw into your fixture (DO NOT CUT YOUR WIRES UNTIL YOU ARE SURE THE DROP YOU PURCHASED IS CORRECT. If you would like to change your drop size you can purchase those from us, we leave 18” extra wire in case you would like to change). Next attach slip ring over the downrod, you will need a 2mm allen wrench for the set screw. Then put canopy onto downrod and let rest at top of chandelier. Using the crossbar provided, screw the crossbar onto the top of the downrod, with the ground screw facing down. With the help of an assistant to hold the chandelier, mount the crossbar to the electrical box, attach the black and white wires of fixture to the corresponding black and white wires in the electrical box. Also attach the ground wire to the ground screw. Push canopy up to ceiling and using the slip ring to hold canopy in place. Install with the provided bulbs and turn electricity on to test. If light does not turn on,turn off all power and check to make sure tab in socket has not been pressed too far into the socket and not making contact with bulb.
Slip Ring
We recommend a licensed electrician install all electrical fixtures. TURN OFF ALL POWER AND REMOVE OLD FIXTURE.Using the 2 - 1 1/2” slotted screws provided, screw them halfway through the back of the T crossbar (just enough to extend through canopy), the front will have the ground screw and the threaded portion of screws facing you. Attach the crossbar to the electrical box with the 2 - 1” slotted screws provided. If your canopy and drop are not attached, uncoil wires and run wires through your droprod and canopy and screw into fixture. With the help of an assistant to hold the chandelier, attach the black and white wires of fixture to the corresponding black and white wires in the electrical box. Also attach the ground wire to the ground screw. Now align canopy with the screws facing you and attach with the acorn nuts provided. Install with the provided bulbs and turn electricity on to test. If light does not turn on,turn off all power and check to make sure tab in socket has not been pressed too far into the socket and not making contact with bulb.
